Island Groundstone units are water-repellent, integrally colored concrete masonry units with one or more block faces that have been finely ground.

A special grinding process, in which diamond blades remove 1/16" of the block surface, uncovers the natural beauty of CMU by revealing the underlying color and variegation of the aggregates hidden beneath the surface.

Our mix design of specially selected premium aggregate is carefully blended to enhance the appearance of a smooth, terrazzo-like, natural stone finish. The Island Groundstone Collection is an attractive, low-maintenance, cost-effective alternative to precast concrete, tile, and marble.
